FORT WASHINGTON, PA. - June 13, 2001
- Binary Research Incorporated (BRI), announced today the release
of its unique Java development tool, J-Pro 3.0, which makes
possible the development of professional Java software and Pure
Java source code without the programmer knowing or coding in
Java. "Microsoft greatly simplified Windows programming with
Visual Basic. Now we [Binary Research] are doing the same for
Java," explained Sandy Butcher, CEO of BRI. J-Pro, developed
by Binary Research, is an easy-to-use programming language that
allows programmers of all skill levels to rapidly prototype,
build, and deploy complex Java applications and applets without
knowing or coding in Java. Applications integrating database
connectivity may be created quickly and easily with only a few
lines of code. J-Pro supports most database systems including
Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Apogee, Informix, Sybase, Pervasive,
and more. With J-Pro, it is typical to develop Java solutions
in less than half the time and a fraction of the cost of traditional
Java coding. J-Pro puts the power of Java within reach of not
just programmers, but people with no programming experience
at all! The Java solutions created using J-Pro can be run on
any platform that supports Java and within any Java enabled
browser such as AOL, Internet Explorer, Netscape, Opera, etc.
The J-Pro Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is where
projects are created and modified. It includes a full line of
development modules like a what-you-see-is-what-you-get (WYSIWYG)
form editor, code editor, form and data wizards, help system,
integrated SQL support, and J-Pro to Pure Java conversion. Design
forms and interfaces visually in the form editor with drag and
drop components such as labels, text boxes, text areas, command
buttons, radio buttons, check boxes, date selectors, image areas,
list boxes, combo boxes, line and bar graphs, data grids, panels,
and tab panels. The code editor uses syntax highlighting and
an easy-to-master programming language with a robust collection
of English-like commands, and implements many advanced features,
including user-defined types, functions, and advanced error
trapping. Wizards allow you to quickly create a form from an
existing database table, create a database interactive form,
or create a database table from the current form fields. The
help system contains useful information to get started with
coding and form design, a command reference, and troubleshooting
guide. With structured query language (SQL) support integrated
into J-Pro, you can manipulate databases using SQL statements
directly inside the editor. The J-Pro to Java converter generates
Pure Java source code from J-Pro projects and compiles the Java
source files into Java classes.
Using J-Pro, Binary Research has built complex business solutions
including document imaging, sophisticated job tracking, and
global remote monitoring applications. The business advantages
offered by using J-Pro are directly connected to our customers'
success and further enhancement of their position as industry
leaders.
